Before the professionals come out to get the painting job done, there is a little prep work that you might want to get out of the way.

Unless you have just moved in and the house is empty, it is likely that you will have to move furniture. Painting around furniture is not a great idea, for several reasons. You might want to begin by rearranging furniture. Move the items away from the wall and toward the center of the room. Cover the furniture with drop cloths or plastic. Painters tape can safely be used if you want to secure the coverings.

Another simple change that can be done is taking a screwdriver and removing the plates around light switches and outlets. Take note of these tips: put the screws back in after removing the plate and use some painters tape to mark which room the plates go in if doing multiple rooms.

These steps can reduce the time we spend on the job, thereby reducing your overall cost a bit. If you are unable to or just do not want to take these steps, that’s fine, too! We will take care of it.
